  • Winemaker’s Notes

    Single Vineyard “Alizarine” Malbec – this excellent red wine, which is made from the Malbec variety, grown in the vineyard Alizarin. The word “Alizarin” of French origin, which determines the intensity of the red color. The vineyard was planted in 1927 and is located near the Andes, which in the cold season to protect from cold winds. The vineyard is located on silty soils with a layer of pebbles. Berries from this vineyard have good acidity, round tannins and a rich floral bouquet.
    Malbec grape harvest is picked by hand in small wooden boxes of 17 kg, with the selected bundles with small berries. Thereafter, grapes are pressed in steel tanks. Followed by cold maceration for 5-8 days at a temperature of 8 C. Fermentation is conducted using yeast for about two weeks with frequent pressing. Wine is aged in small barrels of French oak for 18 months. The wine has excellent potential for storage and another for 8 years will reveal the full flavor and richness of flavor.

    Tasting Notes

    Notes of ripe plums, dark cherries, and tobacco with firm tannins and a smooth, fruit-focused profile. It also features aromas of wild blueberries, blackberries, cardamom, and cacao with a juicy, fresh character and fine-grained tannins.

  • Viña Cobos, Paul Hobbs Selection

    Winemaker’s Notes

    The color is deep violet red. There are intense aromas of sour cherry, cassis and strawberry that lead in to notes of caramel, clove, cinnamon, white pepper and graphite, accented by mint and rosemary. The palate is smooth with elegant, yet firm, tannins and intense flavors that continue to develop and evolve.

    Tight, intense and layered, this full-bodied wine can be appreciated now for its cocoa, blueberry and blackcurrant flavors, but will surely improve and gain complexity with time. Aged in 20% new oak, mostly barriques. Very fine-grained tannins wrap around deep blue and black fruit, with spearmint and dark chocolate buoyed by good acidity and showing great minerality in the finish.

    Winemaker’s Notes

    Ruby red color with good intensity. Aromas of cherries, cedar and hints of graphite. On the palate the wine is full, rich and round with good tension, chewy tannins and a long finish.

    So floral and perfumed with purple fruit, mushrooms and stems. Full, rich and round, but with a line of tannins and bright acidity running through the center-palate. Superb finish. 60-year-old vines.

    Spice and black cherry cola aromas with notes of cocoa. The berry flavors pop on the palate from its depth and lively acidity, finishing with hints of espresso.

    Lots of mountain herbs, mussel shells and sour black cherries. Full, fleshy and fresh on the palate with fine, silty tannins and a juicy, rather minerally finish. Long and tight but caressing and pretty transparent and tactile on the palate.

    Winemaker’s Notes

    Bright in red color with dark tones. Aromas of Andean herbs, pink pepper and gooseberries, with hints of mint and cinnamon. On the palate the wine is angular and focused, with fine tannins, good concentration and balance, long finish.

    Aromas of fresh herbs and currants with some flowers. Medium to full body with firm, fine tannins and an umami, dark-fruit and savory aftertaste. Polished and fine.

    Intense red black Complex nose that highlights ripe black and red fruit aromas; subtle spicy notes. Firm and mature tannins that give structure to the wine. Fresh and elegant due to great acidity. Long finish.

    José Zuccardi is a Malbec from the mountain, from vineyards in Uco Valley with a high concentration of stones and calcium carbonate in the soils. It is fermented in concrete tanks without epoxy and aged in large oak barrels (foudres).

    Deep purple color, with bluish hues. Intense red fruits and flowers aromas, such as roses and violets. Herbal notes. Soft and silky entry, great structure, acidity that provides freshness and mineral texture. Long finish.

    This shows blackberries, tar and black ink on the nose. The palate is full-bodied with focused tannins, incisive acidity and a thin thread of fruit woven tightly with the structure, texture and freshness. This comes from grapes grown in Los Chacayes at 1,000 meters.

    Winemaker’s Notes

    Deep red color with violet tones. Aromas of plum, blueberries, and hints of flowers and menthol. On the palate the wine is concentrated, balanced, juicy, pure with a long finish.

    Made from 100% Valle de Uco grapes, this affordable wine offers generous, spicy flavors and a slightly chewy texture of moderate tannins. The aromas are packed with cumin, black pepper and coriander and the flavors reveal blackberries, thyme and violets. Balanced, fun and and easy to drink.
