Marqués de Murrieta - Rated Best Winery in Europe in 2025
The most expressive and modern-style wine of Marqués de Murrieta, a true reflection of the vineyard from which it comes.
OWN SINGLE VINEYARD
A selection of the best fruit available in selected vintages from our old single vineyard called Canajas, located at 465 meters above sea level. Its soil is mainly clay-chalky, with a stony topsoil, which favours optimal ripening. After verizon, crop-thinning is carried out, selecting bunches with small berries in order to limit production up to 1 kilogram per vine.
Tasting Notes
It has a complex and velvety nose, with an explosion of aromas of wild fruits, dark chocolate and mineral notes, elegantly combined with the creamy toasting of its ageing in the new French oak barrels. An elegant and extraordinary wine which impresses in every way, with body and harmony, of magnificent balance which creates a powerful wine.
Blend: 70% Tempranillo, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Graciano

Bodegas Emilio Moro
Winemaker’s Notes
The word “Malleolus” comes from Latin and means majuelo, which is the way the locals refer to the vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. To produce this wine, we have chosen grapes from old majuelos, trained as bushes and on trellising.
Tasting Notes
This dense red is rich yet focused. Black cherry, plum and boysenberry flavors mingle with cocoa, clove and mineral notes, supported by muscular, well-integrated tannins and balanced by fresh acidity. Not showy, but harmonious.
Blend: 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo)

Winemaker’s Notes
Alión is intense, complex, full-bodied, where elegance plays a differentiating role being the winery's sign of identity. Its modern, genuine and multicultural character makes it easy to pair.
94 points Wine Advocate
2014 is a better vintage in Ribera del Duero than in Rioja, and the 2014 Alión, shows it. Sourced from 130 hectares of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) in Ribera del Duero and possibly the most modern of the Vega Sicilia Group wines, it's silky, voluptuous and jammy, ripe and generous without being too much. The grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats, and the wine matured in new and second use French barriques for 12 to 14 months. It's quite ripe and powerful yet balanced and with great freshness. The palate is medium to full-bodied with lots of fruit, juicy and showy, modern without excess. 284,284 bottles along with 6,500 magnums and some larger formats were produced. You might want to give it some more time in bottle. It was bottled in June 2016.

Tempos Vega Sicilia
Winemaker’s Notes
Alión comes from carefully selected terroirs located in the very best areas of the Ribera del Duero DO region. The soils complement each other and along with the same winemaking process used in Vega Sicilia, they have produced wines with a firm structure.
Tasting Notes
The 2018 Alión features aromas of blackberry preserves, Turkish delight, and clove, with flavors of cherry pie, plum pudding, dark chocolate, and licorice, all wrapped in opulent tannins. It is described as fresh, elegant, and medium- to full-bodied, with a citrus-zest and floral finish.

Tempos Vega Sicilia
Winemaker’s Notes
Valbuena is the pure expression of a red at Vega Sicilia, with an ageing process, from barrel to bottle, which lasts five years and gives its name: Valbuena 5° (5th).
Tasting Notes
Density of flavor, ripe, intense and expansive, yet it’s full of detail, with an emphasis on Mediterranean spice and ripe blackberries. Then, the tension of the acidity seems to give an electric charge to the tannins, making it feel radiant and immediately inviting.
Blend: 95% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), 5 % Merlot

Tempos Vega Sicilia
Winemaker’s Notes
Of the 1.000 hectares which make up the Vega Sicilia estate, 210 are used for wine growing, under 19 soil-types divided into 52 plots with very specific characteristics. The influence of the Duero river’s flow and the passage of time have been vital in forming these soils. 40 of these hectares are used to produce Unico with a minimum 10-year ageing process, including both barrel and bottle, probably the world’s longest. 225-litre French and American oak barrels, both new and used, 20,000-litre tanks. A long complex process for a legendary wine.
Tasting Notes
Velvety texture with notes of cigar box on the finish. A splendid wine with the perfect proportion of fruit (plums and berries), tannins and acidity.
Blend: 94% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), 6% Cabernet-Sauvignon

Vi de Guarda
D.O.Q. Priorat Denominación de Origen
Tasting Notes
Notes of ripe black fruits such as plum, and also some liquorice. Toasty notes, some tobacco, cedar wood and some light, spicy touches. Very well structured thanks to its soft ripe tannins. The palate too displays flavours of toast and of ripe black fruits. A very long finish.
Blend: 50% Garnacha Tinta, 50% Cariñena

Bodegas y Viñedos Pintia
Tempos Vega Sicilia
Winemaker’s Notes
Pintia lies on the banks of the Douro River, within the Toro D.O. region. The extremely cold winters and hot summers influence its complex soils, which are mainly known for their significant pebble content. This means that finding the perfect harvest period is key to ensure the wine conserves both its fresh aromas and acidity.
Tasting Notes
A balanced red, with steeped raspberry and wild strawberry fruit flavors framed by fine, lightly chalky tannins. Offers accents of licorice, smoke, spice box and citrus peel that lace the fruit flavors, with lively acidity carrying through to the lightly chewy finish.
