At first sight, a straw-yellow robe with nice, slightly coppery highlights. The aroma is youthful; the variety has yellow fruit and floral notes and hints of more mature fruit like fig, apricot and pear.

On the palate it offers a full and elegant fruit profile with mineral complexity, herbaceous fruit, and zesty acidity. A fresh fruity beginning, being fleshy and robust, with a good structure that balances fruity roundness and mineral firmness. The finish is very long, making Baron de L one of the finest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc.

An opulent version that's showing beautifully now. A bit of bottle age has beautifully concentrated its flavors of jasmine, baked apple, ground ginger and pear.
